WELCOME 5TH GRADERS

Hello! Well the summer is quickly drawing to a close and the new school year is right around the corner.  I would like to begin by introducing myself. My name is Mrs. Concepcion. I will be your 5th grade teacher in the upcoming year.  I am looking forward to meeting you and all the fun, and exciting activities we will be participating in throughout the year.

I hope you had a wonderful and restful summer. 5th grade is one of the best years here at Crompond.  Each subject we will be exploring will help you succeed in the middle school and beyond.  This year you will meet Willy the Worldly Wizard.  He will take you on a tour of different countries of the world.  In return he would like you to teach him a little bit about The United States of America. One thing he is particularly interested in is who is in charge of our country.  This coming year is an election year and we will be studying how America’s government works.  In order to get a head start, I would like you to complete the “Who Wants to be President?” worksheet.  Please bring this sheet on the first day of class, Thursday, September 2.  Also, please come prepared with the following school supplies:
